Blah Blah Blah

I find myself listen to talk radio; more than anything else. I hate what hip hop has become. For the last 4 or 5 years it all sounds the same, and it has force me to listen to other genre. I like what I have become, and I feel as if i was getting a big dose of dummy music from the radio.I have my Dj equipment in its coffins right now, and I would love to pull it out; but not for that trash on the radio. The BET hip hop awards cyphers where cool, now that hip hop. I would spin something like that.

I'm not downing my talk radio but it they start back playing that I might just tune in. I listen to thing that speaks to my soul and heart, not that dummy mess. Maybe I just growing up, but the radio sound like nosie, as my grandfather would say. My list is few, and doesn't have Wayne or  Drake anywhere near it. It just sound like a lot of blah blah blah.

I Got A Sticker!

Have you ever hated someone so much, and it’s your first day meeting them? It was my first day of high school in a new town, and I was the new kid. My first period class was Pre-Algebra. It wasn’t long before she called roll and I met Laquincy Landurm. He was a jokester and I hated him. It was early in the morning and he was playing the dozens already. I must admit it was funny for the moment, but soon it grow old fast. All most everyday it would be the same thing.
Laquincy was great at math, and he was proud of it. One day it was a test and he received an “A”, he went on a rant. He yelled out over and over again “I got a sticker, I got a sticker, and I got a sticker”. I didn’t get a sticker and it pissed me off. I asked, “Can I see your paper?” As soon as I got his paper I took his sticker off the paper and put it on mines.  I gave it back to him and he was so made.  It led to the point where we want to fight each other. After that he calm down a little in the class room.  I never hit him, but after that it was a lot of tension between us.
One weekend I was playing basketball at my step-cousin’s house, and he came up with a bunch of boys following him. I thought, “were about to throw down”, but he want to play ball. He ended up chipping his tooth on the pavement and left. The next day he pulled me to the side and wanted to talk. We placed our differences aside, and after that he became my best friend. It turned out we had a lot in common, and to this day he still is my best friend.

"What A Family"

Family
Most people would love to talk about family, and I’m one of them. My family doesn’t really bother me, because it’s a lot of behind the back bull going on. Ever since my grandmother died we haven’t been close. I guess you can say she was the glue that whole us together. In my view they’re like the government, and you have to pick a side. If you go against them they kick you when you’re down, but if you’re with them they will give you their all. I’m a wrong or right type of guy but with them it’s I’m wrong and they’re right, no matter what. I can’t agree with that at all, because if your wrong than your wrong, and if your right than your right.
They go to church every Sunday, but condemn you throughout the week. I don’t hate them, but they need to look at themselves. They have tried to put my brother and me out of my grandfather’s house. At that time my grandfather was in the early stages of Alzheimer, and is was over us not going church. My grandfather stopped going to church, so who is at home? My grandfather passed in 2007. We stayed in the house because no one else would. If we leave the house and no one is there than the house will start to decay. They tried to force us to pay rent or move. I decided to leave because I’m not a puppet. My brother on the other hand is more will to listen and do what they say. I just choose not to bow to them. My uncles and aunts all glorified education, and have retried from just that. My aunts are retired school teachers. One of my uncles is a retired Navy first class, and the other one owns three food chains in Chicago.
With my family whoever has the money has the power, so I look at them like a government. I never will fit in that way and they know that so they leave me alone. My favorite aunt is a paralegal, and she is the only one who still gives me a Christmas present and calls on my birthday. I love them and they will be always my family, and maybe one day we can talk and find common ground. On my father side it’s a loving party every time we get together, so don’t feel too sorry for me.
